The knowledge base: what your agent remembers between meetings

A notetaker's output is a pile of meeting documents. Rango's is a memory.

Pages, not piles

After meetings, Rango writes what it learned into pages: a page per person, per organisation, per project, per decision, per term of art your team uses. Pages link to each other with double-bracket links, the way the underlying things actually connect — the project page links the people on it; the decision page links the meeting it was made in. Open the Knowledge section of your workspace and you can read the whole thing: it is legible, editable, and yours.

Why pages beat transcripts

When you ask — in a call, or in the Ask chat — "what's the state of the migration project?", the agent does not reread every transcript. It answers from the migration page, which has been accumulating across every meeting that touched it. That is what makes the tenth week better than the first: the answer to most questions has already been written down, by the agent, in a place built for answering.

You are allowed to garden it

The knowledge base is not a black box. Rename a page, fix a wrong fact, add context the meetings never said out loud — the agent reads what is there, so improving a page improves every future answer. Teams that treat it like a shared wiki (that writes most of itself) get the most out of it.

The memory switch

Settings has one switch: remember what we talk about. With it off, every meeting stands alone — Rango still joins, still answers within the call, still writes the summary, but carries nothing forward and reads nothing back. Turning it off deletes nothing; your pages simply sit untouched until you turn it back on. And clearing the knowledge base entirely is its own separate, deliberate action — never a side effect.

Retention, plainly

Meetings, transcripts and summaries are kept for your plan's retention window. The knowledge base is the distilled part — small, dense and durable. It is the asset your meetings have been failing to produce all these years.
