The recap email: what arrives when the meeting ends
May 21, 2026
When a meeting finishes, Rango writes it up. The write-up lands in two places: on the meeting page in your workspace, and — if you want — in your inbox.
What the recap contains
The email is deliberately short. What the meeting was about; what was decided and who owns what; the key takeaways; and anything raised but not settled — the open questions that would otherwise evaporate. There is a link to the full transcript, but the transcript itself is never pasted into the email: recaps are for reading in thirty seconds, and nobody's inbox needs a wall of dialogue.
Where it goes
Recaps go to the email on your workspace. If someone else set the meeting up from a calendar invite, their recap goes to them. A workspace nobody has claimed yet has no address — the settings page says so out loud rather than letting the switch silently promise mail that cannot be sent.
Turning it off (and what does not change)
The switch lives in Settings, workspace-wide. With it off, nothing else changes: meetings are still joined, still written up, and everything is still on the meeting page — you have just opted out of the inbox copy.
The meeting page is the full record
For anything deeper than the recap, the meeting page holds the summary, the decision list with owners, the timeline and the complete transcript, for as long as your plan retains them. The recap is the notification; the page is the record.
One honest tip
If your team's habit is "notes in the channel," paste the recap there — it is written to be pasted. The point of the recap is that the person who missed the meeting should not have to ask the person who attended it.
